Key Vitamins & Minerals in Our Formula

Here are just some of the vitamins & minerals we've selected for their superior bioavailability and effectiveness. Discover how and why below.

Vitamin D3 – Immune Booster & Healthy Bones for Mum & Baby

Vegan Vitamin D3 - Algae-Derived

Why it’s superior: Sourced sustainably from algae, this Vitamin D3 is vegan, eco-friendly, and animal-free, making it a cleaner and greener alternative to traditional animal-derived D3. Algae is a small, unique plant species found naturally on mountainsides, rocks, and trees. It provides a highly bioavailable source of Vitamin D3 without causing any negative impact on the environment.

Importance: Vitamin D3 supports calcium absorption, promoting bone health for both mother and baby while contributing to a healthy immune system during pregnancy.

Vitamin C - Immune support & Iron Absorption

Calcium Ascorbate

Why it’s superior: Unlike regular ascorbic acid, calcium ascorbate is a non-acidic form of Vitamin C. It is gentler on the stomach and ideal for individuals prone to acid reflux or sensitive digestion. It also provides better absorption for optimal benefits.

Importance: Vitamin C is essential for the formation of collagen, which supports healthy skin, blood vessels, and tissues during pregnancy. It also enhances iron absorption, reducing the risk of anaemia.

Iron - Restore Energy & Support Health of Baby

Iron Bisglycinate

Why it’s superior: Iron bisglycinate is a chelated form of iron that is far more bioavailable than traditional iron salts, meaning it is better absorbed and utilised by the body. It is also gentle on the stomach and less likely to cause constipation or gastrointestinal discomfort—common issues with other iron supplements.

Importance: Iron is crucial for the production of red blood cells and prevents iron-deficiency anaemia, ensuring both mother and baby receive sufficient oxygen. Further, it also helps reduce the risk of infants with low birth weight.

Zinc - Immune Booster & Tissue Repair

Zinc Citrate

Why it’s superior: Zinc citrate is one of the most easily absorbed forms of zinc, ensuring that the body can make the most of this important nutrient.

Importance: Zinc plays a critical role in supporting the immune system, cell growth, and development, which are particularly important during pregnancy for the baby’s growth and maternal health.

Calcium - For Strong Bones & Teeth

Calcium Carbonate

Why it’s superior: Calcium carbonate contains the highest levels of elemental calcium per serving compared to calcium citrate, meaning you get more calcium in a smaller dose.

Importance: Calcium is vital for developing the baby’s bones, teeth, and muscles. It also helps maintain strong bones for the mother and reduces the risk of calcium depletion during pregnancy. WHO recommends supplementing calcium during pregnancy.

Vitamin E – For Skin & Immune Support

Natural D-Alpha Tocopheryl Succinate

Why it’s superior: The natural form of Vitamin E (D-alpha-tocopherol) is more bioavailable and potent compared to synthetic versions (5). Natural Vitamin E is often recommended by health care providers because it is better absorbed and utilised by the body.

Importance: Vitamin E acts as a powerful antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative stress and supporting immune function. It also contributes to skin health and may help reduce inflammation during pregnancy.

Choline – Cognitive Health & Baby's Health

Choline L-Bitartrate

Why it’s superior: Choline L-bitartrate is a highly absorbable form of this essential nutrient, ensuring that the body receives adequate choline levels during critical periods like pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Importance: Choline is crucial for foetal brain and neural tube development, as well as the formation of healthy cell membranes. It also plays a key role in memory function and cognitive health, helping to support long-term brain development in the baby. Clinical studies strongly recommend adequate intake of choline during pregnancy.

Nourishing Nutrients for Pregnancy

Our formula includes carefully chosen ingredients, each with a unique role in supporting your journey.

Myo-Inositol

A naturally occurring compound that plays a role in many biological processes. Myo-Inositol is widely recognised for its contribution to overall well-being and is often included in balanced nutritional approaches during pregnancy.

Folic Acid / Folate

L-Methylfolate, the active form of folate (vitamin B9), is easier for the body to process compared to regular folic acid. It supports maternal tissue growth during pregnancy and plays a key role in overall health, making it a common recommendation in prenatal routines.

Ginger Root

A well-known botanical traditionally used to support digestion and overall well-being. Ginger can help with common pregnancy issues, especially nausea and morning sickness, due to its natural anti-nausea properties.

L-Choline

A vital nutrient that plays a role in various bodily functions, including normal metabolism. Choline is naturally present in the body and is considered an important part of a healthy and varied diet during pregnancy.

Black Pepper Extract

A natural ingredient traditionally used to support digestion and enhance the absorption of certain nutrients.
